HUSSAIN SAGAR

The Hussain Sagar was built in 1562 during the reign of Ibrahim Qutub Shah. This lake was created by Hazrat Hussain Shah Wali, son-in-law of Ibrahim Qutub Shah, to meet the water and irrigation needs of the city and named after him. A one and a half mile bund, known as Tank Bund at one of the lake links the two cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.
