A British restaurant famed for its curious signature dishes such as "snail porridge" was knocked from its perch as the world's best restaurant, with the accolade heading south to Spain, while Delhi's Bukhara made it to 46th spot this time around.
Dipak Haksar, general manager ITC Hotel Maurya Sheraton & Towers, which houses Bukhara said: "We are very delighted to be selected as not only one of the world's 50 best restaurants but also Asia's number one."
Bukhara is popularly known in India as former US President Bill Clinton's favourite restaurant.Today,one of the most coveted tables is still the Clinton's table where America's first family enjoyed their first dinner at Bukhara.
